My name is Verneda Adele White, a Black American woman, and a former Event Consultant for Town & Country and the Town & Country Philanthropy Summit. Several months ago I embarked on a journey. A journey I hope will impact change, and impact the lives of those coming behind me.

My article, "I Experienced Systemic Racism at One of America’s Most Prestigious Magazines", is now published on The Daily Beast, about the deep-seated systemic racism and bias in Town & Country‘s business practices. Based on my experience, along with those of former employees, this piece shines a light on the stark hypocrisy between Town & Country‘s public “commitment” to racial equity, and what the leadership practices internally, including the consistent exploitation of Black talent, contributors and influencers.
